Christoph Uran (PhD Student)

Christoph Uran studied Communication Engineering at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in Klagenfurt. In 2013 he graduated with the grade of Excellent. His master thesis with the title “Design of a Modular Simulation Environment for Vehicle Mounted Logical Units” was his first step into the area of data science in sports. Currently, he is a Junior Researcher and Assisting Lecturer at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, where he continues his research on timing and tracking athletes at large-scale sporting events. His research focuses on the centralization of distributed data using IoT technologies and the evaluation of this data using Machine Learning. This includes different areas of Radio Frequency Identification, (meshed) wireless communication, data storage and Artificial Intelligence.
